Afrigo Band

The Afrigo Band is without a doubt Uganda’s most successful band. Afrigo's 18 CDs have come to define the sound of Uganda. Its distinct attraction lies in its adherence to a beat that is purely Ugandan.

Annet Nandujja

Annet NandujjaAnnet Nandujja is the lead singer and composer for the group Planets.

She has featured on most of Uganda's radio and television stations as a powerful leader for the group.

The Planets is a cultural group that was started in 1990 to encourage preservation of Uganda's cultural heritage. The group has trained its members in various Ugandan traditional dances. The Planets is one of the leading traditional dance groups in Uganda, performing regularly in national festivities, campaign events as well as for visiting VIPs. The group has visited a number of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, including Sweden, Portugal, UK, Germany, India, Kenya and Tanzania. In 2005 The Planets won the PAM Award as best cultural group in Uganda.

Nandujja will perform on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Royal Dinner.

Desire Luzinda

Desire LuzindaDesire Luzinda has of recent become one of most sought after musicians in Uganda. From music concerts to private functions, the list is endless. Famed for her songs, Nkomyewo, Bingi, Mubiite, Nina Omwami with Ngoni and her latest Omusujja, Desire is slowly but surely moving up the ranks of Uganda's crème-de-la-crème artists, pitting her against already established female artists like Juliana Kanyomozi, Iryn Namubiru and Sophie Nantongo.
