Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is the 36th Kabaka of Buganda. He was born at the royal palace, Twekobe, Mengo on April 13, 1955. Mutebi II is a son of the Late Sekabaka Edward Frederick Luwangula Walugembe Muteesa II and the Late Kabejja Sarah Nalule Kisosonkole of the Nkima clan.

Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II spent part of his childhood in exile following the desecration of the Buganda kingdom between 1966 -1986.

Education
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II was educated both privately at the royal palace at Mengo and at other highly reputable schools. The following is the list of schools and institutions from which he has recieved his formal education.

The Nnabagereka
Kabaka Muwenda Mutebi II married Lady Sylvia Nagginda Luswata of the Musu clan on August 27, 1999 in Saint Paul's Cathedral in Namirembe, Uganda, making her Nnabagereka(Queen). Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata was born on September, 1964 in England. She recieved her early education in Buganda at Lake Victoria Primary School, Gayaza Junior School, and Wanyange Girls School. She went on to earn an Associates degree with honours from the City University of New York, a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University (NYU), and a Master of Arts degree from the New York Institute of Technology.

Lineage
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II became Kabaka on November 21, 1969 after the death of his father and the "Okubikka akabugo" ceremony. Although to many Baganda, Mutebi II was the Kabaka living in exile, he was only recoginized by the Uganda government in 1993 when the Bataka of Buganda(Chiefs of Buganda) arranged for his formal coronation. Mutebi was crowned His Royal Highness, Ssabasajja Kabaka wa Buganda(King of Buganda) at Nagalabi, Busiro county, on July 31, 1993.
