| Omukolo gw'Ebitabo (The Ceremony of Books) |
Omukolo gw'Ebitabo (The Ceremony of Books) at Ttabamiruka '07 will be the foundation for a permanent institution dedicated to securing modern library resources for Mutesa I Royal University. Mutesa I Royal University, the former Uganda Technical College, is owned by the Buganda government and is located at Buddu, Masaka in Uganda.
The Omukolo gw'Ebitabo will reach out to all people and organizations of goodwill all over the world to contribute, in cash and kind, towards the establishment and maintenance of a world class library at Mutesa I Royal University, and other universities that Buganda may establish in future.
At Ttabamiruka '07, the Omukolo gw'Ebitabo (The Ceremony of Books) will be formally launched and the contributors will be recognized and honored.
The Omukolo gw'Ebitabo Committee appeals to you to start working on contributing some books to this worthy cause. The committee will provide more details soon but the following have been decided for now:
- Contributions will be accepted both in cash and in books or library materials
- To guarantee that the books can be shipped to Buganda, each book donated is expected to come with at least US $1 stuck in the pages.
- Those attending Ttabamiruka '07 are strongly encouraged to come with their books. A mailing address will be provided for those who will not be able to attend Ttabamiruka '07.
Please visit the Volunteers page to see how you can contribute to the success of this part of Ttabamiruka '07 by becoming a volunteer. |
