Enkiiko z'Ebika (Clan Meetings)

In Buganda culture, members of the same clan are siblings (brothers and sisters to each other) with a single common ancestor. They cannot marry each other and are expected to assist and be loyal to one another as members of one family.

The objective of Enkiiko z'Ebika is to enable Ttabamiruka '07 attendees of the same clan to meet and network and discuss issues of common interest. Parents will introduce their children and discuss ideas on how to strengthen the clan and Buganda. There will also be education on the history and customs of individual clans and, in some cases, opportunities to meet clan elders from Buganda. Individuals to represent each clan during different sections of the Ttabamiruka '07 program will be selected.

Please visit the Volunteers page to see how you can contribute to the success of this part of Ttabamiruka '07 by becoming a volunteer.
