| Visa Information |
If you are an international visitor you may need to apply for a visa to enter the U.S. It is imperative that you make the visa application well in advance of travel. For instructions on how to apply for a visa, visit the U.S. Department of State website. Note that the website provides online visa application forms.
If you are a Citizen of Canada and your only purpose to enter the United States is to attend Ttabamiruka '08, you are allowed to enter the U.S. as a B-1 Temporary Business Visitor without an actual visa. To cross the U.S. border, you must produce evidence of identity and Canadian nationality, residence in Canada, intent to depart the U.S, and/or documentation describing the business purpose of your travel.
If you are a citizen of a visa waiver country, you may be eligible to visit the U.S. without a visa. Please click here for more information on the terms and conditions that apply. Today there are, 27 countries in the Visa Waiver Program:

| Letters of Invitation |
If you need a letter of invitation to apply for a visa, Ttabamiruka Inc, the sponsors of Ttabamiruka ’08, will issue you one if you indicate so on your registration form. The names and addresses for letters of invitation will be taken directly from the registration form. You must first register for the Ttabamiruka ’08 conference before Ttabamiruka Inc issues a letter of invitation.
A separate letter of invitation will be issued for each individual whose name appears on a registration form. The invitation letter is for each individual's use only and is not transferable. Group or family invitation letters shall not be issued. |

- A properly filled visa application form.
- An invitation letter
- An airline ticket booking
- A hotel booking
- A bank statement
- A passport photograph (terms and conditions apply)

| Visa Wait Times |
| The requirements and amount of time needed to obtain an U.S. visa will vary from country to country. We recommend that you obtain your visa no later than July 31, 2008. Click here to find out the visa wait times in your city. |
| Travel Documents |
You are responsible to ensure that you have the correct documents for travel prior to coming to the United States for Ttabamiruka '08. Each international attendee should have the following documents:
- a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the date of travel
- an airline ticket
- a hotel booking
- registration confirmation email print out (optional)
- invitation letter (depends on country of residence)
